Description of the invention

The parental control system applicable to motorcycles, object of this invention, is of the type described in the pre-characterizing part of the main claim, that is to say of the type comprising a controller installed on the motorcycle and which is provided with inputs for the collection of different operating parameters (power, speed, throttle sensitivity, engine regeneration, etc.) of the motorcycle, and of some outputs for the control of the operation of a series of motorcycle components based on adjustable parameters introduced in said controller.

This parental control system has constructive particularities oriented to satisfactorily solve the problem set forth above 30 and in particular to allow the establishment of a wireless connection between said controller and an external mobile parental control terminal, provided with a computer application that allows to modify remotely, quickly and easily
the operating parameters stored in the controller and enable or disable parental control.

For this, and in accordance with the invention, this system comprises: - a wireless bluetooth communication module installed on the motorcycle, connected to the controller and provided with a single bluetooth connection port with an external mobile parental control terminal; - an external mobile parental control terminal consisting of a smartphone, tablet or similar, and; - a computer application installed in the mobile terminal and suitable for: - visualizing the current motorcycle operating parameters stored in the control unit, and accepting 10 or modifying said parameters, and - enabling or disabling a parental control which, when it is enabled: sends the motorcycle an immediate stop signal from the motorcycle when the user selects said option in the application, and that causes an automatic motorcycle stop by the controller when the wireless connection between the controller and said mobile terminal is interrupted or 15 when a preprogrammed distance between the controller and the mobile terminal is exceeded.
With the aforementioned characteristics, this parental control system makes it possible to easily and quickly modify, remotely, the operating parameters 20 stored in the motorcycle controller, without the need to physically disassemble or manipulate the components installed in the motorcycle.

It also allows, with parental control enabled, that the supervisor in charge of controlling motorcycle use can cause it to stop at any time, by selecting this option in the mobile terminal application.

If there is no connection to the mobile terminal, the communications module allows normal motorcycle operation without being disconnected from the controller, because the default mode in the absence of orders from mobile terminal 30 is "motorcycle enabled". As shown in figure 1, this system comprises a controller (1) installed on a motorcycle (M) and provided with inputs (11) for the collection of 20 different motorcycle operating parameters (speed, power supplied, sensitivity of the accelerator, recovery of the engine, etc.), and outputs (12) for the control of the operation of a series of motorcycle components based on adjustable parameters introduced in said controller (1). 25

When the motorcycle contact is activated, the wireless connection management of the controller (1) with the mobile terminal (3) is automatically produced via the communication module (2) via bluetooth and the controller (1) is electrically powered; showing the computer application in the mobile terminal (3) a menu in which the supervisor selects a parameter configuration option, or a parental control option.

In the parameter configuration option, the system displays the current parameters of the controller on the mobile termination screen (3), and the supervisor can maintain or modify said current parameters, sending the chosen parameters to the controller (1) through the module communication (2), restarting the controller in case new operating parameters have been chosen.

In the parental control option, the application shows in the mobile terminal (3) a screen in which the supervisor can enable or disable parental control, and can select a preprogrammed cutting distance, sending said mobile terminal (3) the options chosen to the controller (1).

With parental control enabled the supervisor can send to the controller (1) an immediate stop signal of the motorcycle by selecting this option in the mobile terminal application (3).

With parental control enabled, if the wireless connection between the controller (1) and the mobile terminal (3) is interrupted, the controller (1) automatically causes the motorcycle to stop.

In this way the system ensures that with the parental control enabled the motorcycle will automatically stop when it moves away from the mobile terminal (3) in a
distance greater than the coverage of the communication module (2) by bluetooth, estimated at about thirty meters, or at a distance greater than the preprogrammed cutting distance.
